Deposit bonus vs no-deposit bonus

Deposit bonuses (sometimes called reload bonuses) and no-deposit bonuses might sound similar, but they work quite differently. If you receive a deposit bonus, you’ll be awarded an amount of bonus funds that matches the amount you deposited.

For example, a 100% deposit match bonus would get you €100 of bonus money if you first deposited €100. Similarly, if you made a €200 deposit, you’d receive €200.

The only time that the figures may be different is if there are bonus limits. So, if the bonus is “up to €200”, the most bonus money you can receive is €200, even if you deposit €500.

On the other hand, a no-deposit bonus is one you receive without having to first add funds to your account. These no-deposit bonuses are typically smaller than deposit bonuses though they are popular among players.

Free spins bonuses

Another popular type of bonus is free spins. These work differently from other types of bonuses as they can only be used on slots.

You can receive free spins in a whole host of different ways, including as part of either a deposit or no-deposit bonus. You can also unlock them as part of promotions or other bonuses available to existing players.

Cashback is paid as bonus money, which means that it is subject to wagering requirements, just like any other bonus. It is only paid on real money bets, not on any bonus money. You will also need to accrue the minimum threshold of cashback before it will be paid to you.

What are wagering requirements?

Wagering requirements are a feature of just about every bonus. They mean you will need to “play through” or “turn over” any bonus funds a set number of times before you can withdraw any bonus winnings.

To help explain how they work, here is an example. If the wagering requirement for a bonus is set at 35x, this means that you’ll need to place bets worth 35 times the amount of bonus money you received.
